Yeah a usaa adjuster came to the shop yesterday and I talked to him about the car and the extent of the damages. He was pretty cool and pretty sure the car has slipped by the totalling chopping block barely as far as usaa is concerned. I guess compiling the total mod list with websites showing you can purchase each product at retail value helped. The list came to 26k + shipping, labor, etc etc. So I guess they wouldve felt dumb trying to total the car for 10k or whatever they were thinking. We will see when the kids adjuster comes.

i can't say that i'd like to be in your position, but although a pain in the *** i thought it was often fun to get to do a re-build like that. cuz you already know what works and what doesn't, plus you get a chance to put it all back together again in a more efficient and hopefully cheaper way ... good to hear the process is moving along for you so far, can't beat usaa huh??

Joe I am glad that everyone is okay. I hope all works out in your favor with what ever you decide on the car.

Update: Well I never saw an adjuster from the kids insurance. Ive talked to USAA and they say his insurance is not accepting liability on my car. So Ive had to have USAA cut me a check to start work on my car. Bumpers are off the car now and thats when we saw the bad stuff. Frame is tweaked so it needs to go on the rack for a few hours to pull her back to shape. The back end has been pushed in to the right and down. Looks like Ill be down and out for at least a month to two months. Insurance didnt fork out for the new Junction kit so we have 20+ hours of fiberglass work going into each bumper. Truthfully I like that better since you cant get the Exclusive kit any longer. The Netz sports grill will be remade. Luckly the billet part survived unscathed. All in all the repairs are running 5K+. Samantha and I are recovering fairly well. Backs and necks are still sore from time to time. We will be getting checked out agian shortly to just to make sure. Pretty crazy from the pictures it doesnt look like much, but if you look closely at one of the rear bumper pictures, you can see the imprint of the guys liscense plate in the fiberglass. Shows you how hard he hit us.

Again thanks for all the well wishes from everyone. Ill post pix as soon as she close to up and running again.
