afternoon - can anyone recommend a local (dc, annapolis, balt.) stereo shop that will install previously purchased equipment? i have a great system out of my previous vehicle that will sound phenomenal in my gs. i have a few shops i have reached out to already, mainly car worx in pasadena. if anyone knows of or has experience with, and input would be greatly appreciated. many thanks.

i used audio connections for the same stuff more than once at 8037 Ritchie Hwy # E, Pasadena, MD - (410) 768-1580
not an extremely high end shop but they will get the job done.

yeah sojah, i spoke with them a while ago about the NAV override. way too expensive for that mod, like $750, and for this install they wanted 350 more than car worx. i will do it myself for that kind of $$$. lol.
thai - what shop in gaithersburg? i'll give them a shout and see what they have to say.
i still may do the install myself just so others may have a good idea as to what is involved. we shall see though. if i do, i'm thinking of doing the mirrors at that point, given the doors will already be apart. sojah, that means you get to help, yes? lol.

infamous - i have a 3gs w/ ML and NAV. i want to retain the stock headunit as it pretty much controls everything in the car. i have a pretty good idea how do do this install myself; the only issue is making sure i retain the staging speakers in the front and rear deck. i will need to get a wiring diagram from lexus to make sure when i disconnect the front and rear door speakers that the crossover/surround speakers are not tied in. just a little more of a pain in the a than i really want to deal with, but if someone is going to charge me 750 to do the install, i will do it myself. lol.

beez - hope you had a good trip. did you end up getting that kit? as far as my stereo - i will be getting the fosgate 360.2 for digital processing, then installing my two amps, 2 sets of components and 1 (or 2) sub(s). i have all the wiring necessary. you guys don't need to jump in on this unless you would like to see how it goes - though i certainly appreciate it. i have someone lined up if i cannot find a professional shop. if i do decide to diy, i will post pics and let you know when if you would like to join in. oh, the brake vents are a great place to mount those HID fog ballast, just like you said. i will keep y'all posted. thanks

if the speaker sizes fit perfect then i dont see a problem but yeah, itll be quite time consuming but wont be a majorly difficult task to get the wiring, speakers, amps, and subs set up... but as far as the mirrors, i can help out whoever no problem.. pretty straight forward once you know how to take apart the damn mirrors...
