I have not encountered a problem like this however it is definitely inter-connected; if the fuse is ok then you may have a short to ground within that same circuit which is not blowing out the fuse. You will need a wiring diagram and back probe the wiring to find the problem.

Hey Tach Motor, another follow up. Haven't taken the car to the shop yet but I did do a few things. I pulled the throttle body and cleaned it along with the IAC. The TB was actually really coated with varnish on the back side and the IAC was black with carbon. The "Y" pipe also was dirty-cleaned that the best I could with a rag. I reassembled everything this afternoon and the car started right up and idled for about 5 mins. and died. Started it again and there was a grating or grinding noise almost like a bad starter. Shut it off quickly, checked what I had done, started it again, no noise but it wouldn't idle and felt-sounded like it was loading up and running rough. I took it up to around 3'000 rpm and it started blowing white smoke. I don't know, CBF'D. What would you suggest?
I did talk to the shop that is working on my Supra about bringing it in but I don't know if I should try to drive it there or have them pick it up on a flat bed. Thanks again for any input you might have.

How much did you spray into the intake tract? Reason being is if you sprayed alot and alot of it ran into the chamber it will burn off when the car starts. Try and run it for a bit. worst case you will need to replace the iac.

I didn't spray any in the intake tract. I sprayed the cleaner on a rag and wiped it down. The TB was off the car when I cleaned off the build up and it was dry when installed. I've been reading on here and the white smoke sounds like it might be caused by a faulty ECU?

If you know someone with the same car you can swap the ecm to see if that helps. Otherwise you will need to have the car checked out by a shop. There might be a deeper problem.

Thanks, I'll take it to JE , the shop that's working on the Supra. There isn't any sweet smell, so I'm hoping I'm not dealing with a BHG! We'll see. Thanks again for your time.

Hey Tach, found the broken wire. Was broken over the front driver side tire inside the guard that keeps the wires together. Don't know if it was like this for a while but there were splices just loosely taped, that corroded away to leave the wire broken, but not grounded. Just glad got it all figured out, on to the next issues.

Hey man I drew tranny errors p0715 and p0763.

I have a 98 GS400 with 200k.

I have a flashing M when I put the E shift.
And I have no E shift.

Every once in a while the CEL turns off and flashing m goes away and e shift comes back,
But it lasts only a day or so.

Any help would be great.

Thanks so much!

P0763 is a trans solenoid malfunction; you will need to replace that solenoid. Did you recently do a trans flush? recently within the past few months ? You may need to get the trans looked at by a trans shop or lexus dealer.
