All i did was a 5 speed swap on his car and after the swap this started to happen it's ridiculous with these 400 motors.
Jump E1 to T1 and we pulled code 12, so we replaced the cams and crank sensors no change then replace the ecu no change then i decided to check timing and it was completely off but the car starts and run .no misfire no hesitation.
Weird i am thinking about pulling the timing belt off lining everything back up maybe that will fix the problem
thanks

I bought another ECU online, because someone said it could be that in the other thread, Im gonna pull the timing covers off and check next. My guess is they jump timing due to the four cam set up..just my guess

IF you don't mind sharing why would these SC400s jump timing? my buddy has the same issue code 12 and when i lined up the cams and crank the timing was way out .

Erratic speedometer needle
Hello All,
Car in question is a '99 LX 470 with a digital speedometer,. While driving today, the speedometer needle started bouncing up and down and then just died
It had happened couple of times in the past as well but it came back to life the very next time i started the car.
I noticed when the needle died, the mileage increase quit too. So now the needle is at 0 and the mileage remains the same when driven.
No CEL and every thing else works fine
Help appreicated ?
Thanks

my 3gen GS300 AWD is having high engine oil consumption don't know why. Right after oil change along with Lucas oil stablizer. I checked the oil level 2 weeks later (maybe after 1000km) it used about 1/4 of engine oil.
Maybe a year before I've noticed the "low engine oil" light came on and off shortly after, didn't think of anything much of it. But maybe several months back the light came on and stayed on so I got it checked out and it was nearly empty so I got an oil change with that and topped it off. Maybe after 3000km later the light came on again and again the engine oil is nearly empty.
Please help me out here, I'm very frustrated and not having much luck with this car because I have minor problems here and there and its' really getting to me now
thanks

I'm new to this site and not sure if you can help or I am in the correct place in the site. I have a 2001 GS 430 and the heating/cooling is only blowing from the middle vents, no feet and no defrost. Any ideas?

I have a question on the LS430 air suspension system. I have a shock leaking (oil) so I plan on replacing both on the rear of the car. The one part of the replacement process that I'm not clear on is bleeding the air out of the system. Do I need to pull an air tube to do this or is there an actual valve somewhere? Thanks!
