I finally uploaded my photos. I haven't been able to get many from yesterday's additional 19" here in Germantown MD but here is my link and a few of my fav's mostly from Saturday through Monday when we got a dusting of 29"...
http://public.fotki.com/jefferino/snowmageddon-2010/
Used to be my DD 93 Nissan Sentra...was taller than my Cadillac SRX SUV!
Decided to move it into the street to dig it out..
My babies stuck in the garage all shiny and clean...
Out my dining room window...calm after the storm
Backyard beautiful with snow and paint brushed clouds
Why aren't people in this lane on 355? I am in a tiny crappy Nissan Sentra beater not even SUV
Let the additional 19" and drifting begin!

I'm not bringing out my Lexus until June when this melts and all of the damn salt and crap is off the roads. The wife's Caddy is 4WD but hey, it is clean as heck so why bring it out unless I have to?
This my friends is why when living in Michigan we all had winter beaters. All they have to do is be safe, warm and didn't care if they got salty, dented, etc. Looks like I'll be rocking the 93 Nissan Pimpra for a few more months :-)

My parents are at 3200 feet in the mountains of Pa. I80 goes right through my city and there was a 29 car pile up on the freeway. 7 tractor trailers and 29 cars total. big mess. They were using excavators to pull the wreckage apart and crushing the semi's and carrying them out in tri-axle dump trucks because the damages were so bad and unrecognizable to its original state. Many people actually died. Rumor has it, that state troopers were using military hum-vees to get to the wreckage and to assist emergency vehicles because there cop cars were useless since PennDOT couldn't keep up with the snow.
There was lots of cars in the DC area that had accidents. The body shops are packed down here. It would have been worse if the area would not have shut down for the week. That was a smart call.
I saw cars on 495/210 rolled over and on there sides. Even more that were stuck in ditches and abandoned for days. Some guy in a Cady lost it on 210 coming north to DC this morning. He was flying in and out of traffic and lost it into the snow pile real fast. People down here need to stay at home when this happens cause they can't drive when the road is not clear. We all drive fast down here but now is not the time
