****Taking the reigns of organization back and geeting the peeps together**

OK NELOC,, here is the deal. What I want to do is bring back a concept that Leroy and I started a few years ago to help us get somewhat organized with our activities. I am insituting the re-birth of the MD. ROUNDTABLE MEET!!!

For those of you who are not familiar with what a roundtable meet is, the answer is quite simple. The roundtable meet is a meet where we all (as many as possible) come together at a specified location in order to discuss different events, meets, activities, etc. Oh and we also EAT in the process. This is one of the few NON-CAR oriented meets that we have. We have had 2 of these in the past years and the results turned out to be quite successful, however last year with all that was going on in everyone's lives this meet fell by the wayside. I normally would have liked to have gotten this up off of the ground by mid/late March, however, things were not working out for me to be able to do so. Anyway,,I can feel the air of local excitement going on, however it may need a little direction, guidance, or leadership, and this meet will help to point the group as a whole on the right path.

What I am asking is what day will work out for you guys? For those who don't know, I am on the road ALOT, so the only days I have available are most Saturdays, and a few Sundays now. I would like to hold this sometime within the first 2 weeks in June so we can get some things moving, however I am open to what dates you guys may have in mind; including this month. I will monitor this thread for the next week or so, and depending on the responses I receive I will put up an official poll to vote on and finalize the date. Location will most likely be one of the restaurants over at Arundel Mills Mall, however I have not set anything in stone yet. I am looking for suggestions on a date to meet and then I will finalize everything from there. Feel free to also suggest locations, but keep in mind that I am trying to keep this pretty much central for my MD peeps from the different counties, and I think Arundel Mills has always worked out pretty well.

All, who choose to attend, are more than welcome to do so. THis meet is geared a little more towards the hometown for organizational purposes; but as always no one will be turned away. Your responses to this thread will let me know that you either ARE or ARE NOT interested in having a meet of this type and a tentative attendance list will also be started as well. CHIME IN!!

For the Roundtable, I'm in. Perhaps the second weekend in June? OC Car Show is the first weekend.

 

I'd be very interested in this however, I'm out of town and unavailable due to family commitments the first two weekends in June.

June 19 - Hyperfest

 

I'm down wit meetn new people plus I can rep the counties by me..im in Harford County

 

June 12th were is this going down at..is it only for MA IS group

 

at D&V autobody and you guys can join if you all like.

 

I think that we should incorporate this and the BBQ into one event so that we can have the food and fun together with all the discussion and not really worry about the cars for awhile. Also June is a busy month as many have already replied. July is less busy for most. July 10th or 17th would be best as there is a HIN/Nopi event the weekend of the 24th that I am sure some of us will attend.

What do you guys think about this idea?

i know how you feel. theres never a meet in philly or close by. its either some where way out on long island or down in the dc/va area.

 

^There's meets and shows here every other weekend . Come to Vegas.
