Stay away from Lexus of Massapequa in NY !!!
#17
I use Rallye Lexus myself (I work in Manhasset) - good work so far although they would not do the brake TSB. And as far as the cig lighter fuse - my IS is a CPO and I paid $0 to get that fixed.
Thanks for the head's up about Massapequa.

Wow, that service guy is a complete moron. How can someone be that working in the car industry be that stupid. He must have sold furniture before this job. Cause he has no clue about the Lexus brand he represents. I cant believe they jerk you around like that. My IS350 is just 7k miles out of warranty and Lexus here in Tampa Bay still bends over backwards to help me, whether its sales or service. I work in sales for a VERY large company and HATE HATE HATE pushy people. I mean, shoot, here they have Ferrari and Bentley dealers as common as Ford dealers and our 4 yr old wanted to sit in the back of a Phantom while we where there and the front desk lady took her and showed her the inside, the sales manager didn't care. Lexus is a great brand but wow, who the hell cares about someone looking at a car. I guess there is one good thing about that place. You know your new car was never breathed on, however buying from them would suck. Go to another dealer, call corporate and report dealers like that. The bastard who owns that place doesn't deserve to have that dealer.

I lost the auto open feature on my C230 after disconnecting the battery. I checked the owners manual and it said to open and close the sunroof by holding the button throughout, then it will be reset. Worked like a charm. Lexus may have something similar???

the reset is easy, open and close all the way.
it is real hit and miss generalizing dealers like this. even i had problems with a mechanic named billy at rallye who did not put back those plastic screws on the engine cover. i only discovered it later and brought it back, only to charged for them anyways. i wrote a complaint letter to andrew jones, the service manager at rallye, and never received a response. now, i won't go to them either.
