2 IS Modding Weekend/Meet-Up in MD/DC/NoVa Area?
I came across this thread and had an idea: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-d-c-area.html
I just recently bought a 2007 IS350 so I'm new to the 2IS, and after joining CL I naturally have quite a few ideas for some mods (specifically the F-Sport sway, fog HIDs, LED replacements, etc). And, like any good CL-er, I prefer to DIY instead of pay the shop or stealership.
I live in Baltimore, MD, so the above thread caught my eye; someone looking for some help in DC. I've been wanting to do some projects but I live in the city of Baltimore and park on the street, with nowhere to do any work. I thought it'd be a great idea to schedule a weekend meet-up somewhere in the MD/DC/NoVa area for 2IS owners (or anyone really, but my aims are more specific to the 2IS) to meet each other and do some DIY projects. I for example have a list of projects I'd like to do, but since I'm new to the 2IS I'd love to have the experience and expertise of other owners there as well.
I think it'd be a good idea to pick a weekend day (probably Sunday, as that's what I'm hearing from people would be the best day), find a place, and all meet up. We can bring the supplies/parts/tools needed for our respective projects and all get to work.
The two crucial things to determine will be time and place. I figure I can get people's input here on both. Ideally we'd like to find a place that would have room for everyone to have access to their cars, like a small parking lot or large driveway.
So let me know if you're interested! Reply with some proposals for time and place; we'll probably want it to be a little warmer weather. Looking at my calendar, maybe May 1 or 15? Depending on responses, I can add a poll if needed.

I got the 35W, 3000k, 9006 for the 2IS fogs. Have read a bunch of things on CL comparing HIDs, and these have gotten great reviews and seem to have the best bang for your buck (only $40!).
Glad we're thinking along the same lines, that way we'll have similar projects to undergo. I'm also thinking parking light LEDs and maybe Silverstar bulbs for DRL/Hi's.

OK, so it sounds like people are pretty flexible on timing. I want to wait just a bit since a few people that are interested (myself included) are still waiting on parts. Next major thing is where we go. Does anyone have or know of a place? I'm fine going anywhere in MD/DC/NoVa, but we'd need a good place where we'd have space and could do some work.

My family owns a business in Centreville, Virginia called SpaWorld if you know where that is. I can check with my dad and uncle if we can do it there. I'll need to know around how many people. Dont bank on this though; its just a chance im checking up on.
