FS: 1988 Mustang 5.0, 5speed,94k miles, convertible!
I am selling a 1988 Mustang 5.0 convertible that I restored pretty much from the ground up. Long story short, my dad has a lot with a TON of cars (I'm talking HUNDREDS), and this 1988 5.0 was lodged waaayyy in the back, but about a year ago when I found it, I knew I wanted it... and have it restored from the ground up. New top and motor (convertible top motor, not engine 
), new paint, new wheels/tires, ENTIRE new white leather interior, new carpeting, recent tune-up with wires/distributer/the works.
It has Hooker headers, and full exhaust that dumps under the cap. (there IS an exhaust leak UNDER the car where the headers meet the new tubing.) There is also a vacuum leak that I am fixing right now. I had to remove the intake manifold to reach it, but its gettin done!
Clutch needs to the adjusted, it shifts perfect, every gear, but pedal needs to pushed down further than most 5.0s (I have had my fair share of them, just sold a street-legal 600rwhp 1990 notchback a few weekends back!)
And this car only has 94k ORIGINAL miles! What a great looking car, I get compliments ALL the time. POWER EVERYTHING! Front windows need help coming up, not from a week motor, but because the tracks are a bit off.
This will make a great spring time toy for anyone that wants a nice convertible. I just have too many toys at the moment, so this must go. This car also gets surprsingly good gas mileage. I dont flog the car at all, and I usually get around 17-18 all city. YES! its true!
I have so much invested in this car, and I understand I wont get what I put into it back out... but I REALLY would like to get in the area of $6,500, however, I will entertain any REASONABLE offers, or trades.
This car is truly a piece of Ford history that gets so much respect.
I have a FLAWLESS eBay rating off over 380, ALL positives... I have sold cars (Corvettes, 300zx's, Altimas, 1936 Model T, and even a few Vipers), motorcycles (2005 SV1000s, Buells), and a TON of camera/audio/video equiptment. My eBay name is Redheadwnder.
