'01 Sequoia $2400 NEW FRAME!
Now that this snowy New England winter is coming to an end it is time has come to sell my winter tank. This truck in 4WD can get through anything, and has started up everytime for me even during sub-zero degree mornings!
Truck Background:
I wanted to keep my GS off road this winter, so I purchased this from previous owners this past December, who had owned car since 2005. 90% of all repairs were done at dealer, until we serviced car after that. ( I am service manager at garage the truck was worked on ) Originally was going to keep truck, but my 4 year old will be going to preschool and need money for that instead. Lots of miles, but runs amazing! V8 Toyota/Lexus reliability!
Specs:
2001 Sequioa SR5 with gold package. 319,xxx miles. Leather, running boards, sunroof, CD player, heated front seats, 3rd row seats, tow hitch, power sun roof, aftermarker clear sidemarkers
Recent Repairs: (have ALL records from last 10 years) this truck was well taken care of!
1. All 4 tires have 8-10/32nds tread life (date codes 2012 and newer)
2. 313,000 miles : rf outer tie rod end, rf axle and alignment
3. 311,000 miles: shift lever and cable replacement
4. 310,312 miles: radiator and hoses
5. 309,000 miles: rear hatch handle
6. 293,566 miles: front and rear brake replacement
7. 280,000 miles: BRAND NEW FRAME. replaced at Toyota, 4 shocks/struts and links replaced at same time.
Problems/notes:
MIL has been on since I purchased it. Codes for exhaust leak from manifolds. slight noise Only noticeable on cold mornings and goes away after a few minutes. Replacing Manifolds is huge money so I never planned on getting fixed. MIL does go out occasionally and MA inspection is good until August 2015. This car WILL NOT need to pass MA inspections next year as it will be over 15 years old.
VSC/TRAC/SLIP will come on randomly as it has an intermittant sensor fault. Once a week I'd say. As soon as truck gets shut off and turned back on, will reset.
Timing belt is due up in 5-10,000 miles if you choose to do so.
Muffler has putty on it to stop a small leak that made the truck loud.
Small amount of rust above windshield and Inside rr door
KBB retail fair - good is $4200-4600
NADA fair - clean trade in is $3600-4200
Price is $2900 or Best offer. No REASONABLE offer refused! Buy as-is and drive everyday with issues or spend $1500-2000 to make perfect and go another 100,000 miles! PM with any questions! Thank you
On a side note, this truck really is solid. I've driven Sequoia's with 200k and this drives better. At 70 mph, tracks straight, no vibrations and no brake pulsations!
