Went out there at 9:30. I saw Russ' Honda and the Audi group was there in strength, but it was otherwise decimated by frigid temps.

 

Didnt make it out tonight, cold and... well yeah, it was cold. Scott, are we still playing operation with your SC this weekend too? I feel bad, its like an amputee right now... just lemme know what the plan is.

 

Whats wrong with Scotts SC? I thought you guys were installing coil overs on it? lol.

 

They are but they are also replaceing the bushings while its all apart and that has turned into a huge pain in the butt lol. If it would warm up it would prob be done by now. I too didnt go its too cold and boost controller is still fubar so i cant race anyway.

Yeah, Jeff and I actually removed a few more bushings and pressed in new ones Monday night while the tornadoes passed over our heads. I think we've done about as much of that as we can get done with the 6-ton press.

So, I'm going after a 20-ton shop press today during my lunch hour; I have to drive over to a Harbor Freight in Mesquite. Yeah, it's the BIG one. We should be able to finish this project easily, along with any future projects (*cough*, Matador) for which a press is required.

I hope to have all the bushings removed and pressed back in tonight, so that Friday night and Saturday can be spent reassembling the car. Check out the NorTexLex group page for some more updates. Kewl stuff happening...

Then I'm one alignment job away from being able to drive it to the next Wednesday night meet! (Notice how I swung it back around to the thread topic? I'm so clever like that...)

My bushings came in today and I will be picking up the coils tomorrow afternoon. Install will just depend when we have a full weekend to devote to this... cant afford the longer down time. I suppose if we get bored putting yours together we can put the coils on for ****s and giggles.

 

Who's down for a meet this evening? I met aguy last night with a '09 IS-F and he will show up. Anyone?
