[EVENT] Weekly Wednesday night meet in Plano
#1246
Lexus Test Driver
Me, Scott and 1 other guy went to jared and helped get his sway bar off. We left about 10 it was pretty slow last night again think location change killed the meet for soem reason lol. I'll be missing this import battle messed up tranny no good for racing unless they give me a rolling start in 3rd lol.
but yeah jared was scewing the bolt in and it just snapped so most of it has already went into the sway bracket where the bushings bolt to the car

The broken piece is stuck in the upper portion of the bracket. After drilling with a small bit, I'm not so sure a slightly bigger bit will fit through the U shaped bracket todrill it out.
If I can, I'll try to post a picture so everyone knows what the hell I'm trying to do lol.
EDIT:____________
pics -
-- Where the arrows are pointing is the front bolt (there are two, front and rear), its the one that holds up the U shaped bushing piece. While screwing that bolt through the U shaped piece, it snapped in the top of the other bracket, which is mounter to the frame I assume.
Just thought I'd show this..
Where the two check marks are, Is where I can successfully unscrew the 2 out of the 3 bolts of the frame bracket. I wen't ahead and bought a new one so I wouldn't have to bother trying to get the broken bolt out. But there is one more bolt holding it in pretty tight at the bottom. Not alot of leverage down there, its hiddin by the sway bar bushing. Even with dropping the sway bar, there is not enough room.

It shouldnt be that bad. Maybe you just dont have the proper tools to pull it out. I doubt it is that hard. Me or Jeff can take a look at it and we should be able to pop it out.
