The name/concept is nothing new. We've been operating as such for a while now, but the social group application on here isnt nearly as user friendly or obvious as the regional sub forums. Everyone please keep in mind sheer numbers do not warrant a sub forum, but rather the organization and comradery as detailed by Slooooooow's previous post. The surge of interest and participation in local events as of late has been great, but try not to focus so much on the length of the list.

Lexus Champion
?
We've been calling it that a while, so I'm a bit confused by the thumbs requirement. Is that something a moderator requested?

Point taken guys, just got so excited for a second I was worried about numbers only!

Glad to see so much going on while I was occupied by a family situation.
Glad to see North Texas Lexus catching on so well.
Dave and other interested parties, just for the record, our planned meets and events include the following:
Anticipating this eventual growth I setup a North Texas Lexus group in the "Social Groups" area of this forum, and requests for membership and requests for activities grew nicely. I wanted to test and see if we had enough sustained participation and interaction. I believe the test was passed, but the logistical split in the forum between the "social group" applet and the Southwest forum has us a bit scattered and frustrated. Therefore, a North Texas Lexus subforum is respectfully requested.

Dave and other interested parties, just for the record, our planned meets and events include the following:
- One quarterly meeting that is called by and organized by NorthTexasLexus members
- We represent North Texas Lexus (and ClubLexus) at weekly RiceKiller.com meetings on Monday nights (resuming in Feb.)
- We represent North Texas Lexus (and ClubLexus) at weekly Dallas Imports meets on Wednesday nights
- Our group is large enough that our western contingent meets weekly, on Thursday nights, at rotating locations
- We have install meets at the homes of well-equipped members on at least a monthly basis
- We have photo shoots throughout the North Texas area on at least a monthly basis
- We represent North Texas Lexus at most automobile-based events in North Texas and Texas at large, most recent examples being Hot Import Nights and Import Face Off.
- Maintaining our cohesiveness and presence at the above meets.
- Providing an active real-time enthusiast organization for the Lexus enthusiast demographic in North Texas. (a demographic largely untapped and unorganized at the moment)
- Providing a support network for the modification and enjoyment of Lexus vehicles (this group is the first group that's given me the knowledge, courage and support to actually modify my own Lexus in recent past months)
- Educating our group members and potential members about the knowledgebase and socialization available on ClubLexus.com and about the purchasing power provided by ClubLexus.com supporting vendors
