Default Looking for size of a missing bolt from this part....

I'm sorry I dont have a picture but it's easy enough to know what i"m speaking of. Right in front of the rear tires is a plastic lip that hangs down almost as if a mud flap but on the wrong side. I dont know what the heck the purpose of this thing is...but mine got knocked loose. I can push it into a reasonably secure fitting but if i scrape it get's hit. I feel holes for a bolt. No bolt. can anyone help me out?

Go look on the other side of the car and see what it looks like. You should be able to take it to the dealer and they will be able to find you a matching one.

mudflap, i mean, sure it looks like a mudflap but does it really need one right there? seems odd.

It's more of a rock guard than anything else. Prevents you from kicking up rocks and damaging the paint on the rear quarter panel and rear bumper. Wether it's necessary is up to you. I removed mine because they got in the way of my body kit. Even after I took mine off, I didn't notice any rock chips out of the ordinary...and everyone here knows that I spin my tires all the time

Then again...I have a GS, mabye the rock guard on the IS serves a more productive purpose? lol

hmm, so a flap in front of the rear tire will keep rocks from hitting the bumper...behind the rear tire?

I might just remove these altogether and see what's up.

My god man, I thought I was up late. Please tell me you were just waking up at 5:30 rather than sitting on CL at 5:30 as part of the evening!!!
