Go with a full standalone trev you wont regret it in the long run. Spend the money now pay less later.

Well I know most of you are going to say AEM is the way to go but I have family to provide for and $1500 is too much. I could save that for a house to rent to own out here. On the supra forums guys are saying that the firmwire and stuff has been updated and they are running fine now. Greddy ultimate has fuel isses, along with boost issues, but I know I don't want to spend $1500 for AEM, I have better thing to spend that on guys.

Probably find an AEM for cheap on ebay man but your gonna have to custom make the harness. Other than that should be easy. YOu can probably source a good AEM for around 600-700 bucks on there as long as you down to do the wiring.

I bought my AEM for $900 shipped almost a year ago.... You should be able to get a good used AEM for the same cost as a new MAPECU2....

ill chime in on this, Ive had the map ecu 2 now for a little over a year on a 1j setup which is map based stock ecu, with a maf based ecu you will be able to tune your fuel map a little better--------- however after I purchased one for 7xx dollars + a patch harness (2xx dollars)to keep from messing up mine, + a boost solenoid and connector (75dollars). you very quickly get to 1000 or over. I like the map ecu 2 but its not as easy to tune as a standalone as far as user friendly goes (its like convincing a virgin to have sex) but it does meet my tuning needs. my own personal thoughts if I could go back and do it again I would have purchased a standalone and aem is not the only brand out there that can do a excellent job there are some that are a hair cheaper (like 100) do your own research to see what you want and then make your choice, but dont do it because the price unless you got a good deal on a used one that you are positive it works. Ive had mine fail once and luckily I had my warranty from mvp and it was replaced.
