Need driver side headlamp mine is busted, need it today let me know if anybody has one.

 

What happened

 

The clear cover melted after 3 minutes in the oven!

 

ouch... attempting to clean, paint, or retro fitting HID kit? I think there's a few junkyards here with few sc, but the ones i ran into seem to have front end damage ...

 

I found one but, im going to pick it up tomorrrow, I was trying to clean my headlights

 

Doesn't anyone read my DIY on headlight work? lol

Preheat oven to 350F and then MAKE SURE!!! to TURN OFF THE OVEN!!!
You let the residual heat in the oven heat up the headlights. I have to reiterate...NEVER leave the oven on or else you will have a melted pile of goo.

Let it sit in there for 5 mins to soften up the thermoelastic sealant and then you should be able to pry apart the housings. Make sure you remove all the screws(usually 3-4 per headlight) holding the housing together first or else it will never separate.

 

I been doing oven baking headlight removing for 5 years and never had that happen to me, this is the first time, it's all good cause I got a good deal on 99 sc300 headlights.
