looks serious...
So about a week ago i changed the sparkplugs on my car and as if that wasnt time consuming enough, as I pulled out the 3rd or 4th plug I noticed oil all over the tip of it. Now i dont know everything there is to know about cars but I know enough that oil on a spark plug isnt good. I know that liquid will prevent a spark ect. How serious is this and how hard is it to fix? I dont have the money to take it to a shop right now.
Do you think someone with a little bit of knowledge would be able to replace the gasket (im told this is whats leaking) myself or should I get help?
Im good at following directions if there is a walkthrough somewhere but im not wanting to take it apart if im going to do more damage than needed. I did collision repair on cars for a while but never really worked inside of an engine.

I dont know why i woke up this morning with a stroke of genius or something but i apparently have a warranty for about 12000 more miles and seals are covered under warranty!!! so ill have lexus fix it.

I thought seals and gaskets are considered wear and tear items. Like a timing belt, tensioner, accessory belt, spark plugs, etc are all considered wear and tear items. The dealer will not warranty those items when it comes time to change them at the 90k service.

but i went to get my car back today and they said that they could not find a problem.
im like WTF
i looked at the receipt and it says "Customer states that there is oil leaking from the engine"
WTF i said IN THE SPARK PLUG AREA, im sure the mechanic just checked around the engine for an oil leak and didnt bother checking the plugs because the ticket said nothing about them. im going to take the plugs back out this weekend or next weekend and if there is oil im going to be pissed.
