Fabricated Motorsports MW 3/07/2010 drift event and car meet!

There are going to be some changes at our events for the rest of 2010. These changes are to make our events better for the drivers and everyone involved. They are not made without thought, and if you attended the last GGP event in Houston you will understand why I am going to do this. They are all small parts to make the overall drift scene in Texas that much better, and will be a part of lots of other changes. Here are the ones for the next event though.
1. Media. I have an amazing photographer that works with many blogs and magazines that is going to come out and shoot all the Fabricated Motorsports events this year. That includes MW. He will be looking for magazine feature cars, and covering the events for multiple online publications. We will be doing more video work again this year, to hype up the scene. So wash your car before you come and put on a show! This should create a lot more interest in the events overall, and really get the word out to the car community. This is going to cost me some money, so we need to get the attendance up some, which should come along in a few months with the increased coverage. Here is some of his work.

2. Car Meet. Car meets suck. But I think one at our events will rock, because it will bring out more spectators to generate enough money to have more prize money at our events, and they will have one hell of a show to watch. They will get to ride along in cars, which is amazing for spectators who have never done so, and it will get more cool cars out there, which makes things cooler visually. It should just bring the excitement up. This is going to really change the event up a good bit, and it will probably take a few months to see the effects, but I'm really going to push for it.
3. Organization. We are going to split the parking lot up into a pit area, which WON'T have trucks and trailers in it, then a car meet area with modded cars, and then into a general parking lot. I will enforce this, so when you show up, you need to drop your car off the trailer and go put your stuff in the pit area, because your TRAILER WON'T be over there at any point. Don't fight me on this, I'm going to win. These will stay separate, and by doing so everything will look much more legit, and way cooler, trust me. We won't look like such a cluster ****. I run these events on a SHOESTRING staff, but I do my best : )
4. Attendance. Attendance has to come up so we can afford to do cooler things, and make everything rad. This will have to come with all the things that area above this, and I think drivers have seen what we have done the last few years, from the D1 underground events, to the Houston events, to the NST event, to the LONESTARBASH, etc and understand that we are making things better and bigger. Some of the key events over the last 24 months have been amazing, with 12 car tandem and just crazy stuff! I want to continue making it more amazing, in every way I can.
