Default Tolltag Mounting Alternatives?

I have a 2008 GX470 which I have to park outside. In the summer, the glue on the velcro strips used to attach the NTTA tolltag to the windshield melts letting the tag fall - usually onto the seats, leaving a gooey mess to try to clean up.

I've tried different locations (lower left by the inspection sticker, upper left, behind the rear view mirror) and different types of velcro including "heavy duty" as well as white or black strips. None have worked in the Texas summer heat.

The question I have is, does anyone know of a mount or cradle or other successful method to attach the tolltag?

Right now, I have it laying on the dash which isn't the best way since it is prone to sliding off when I go around a corner.

I asked a service adviser at Park Place and got the answer, "Yeah, people have complained about that." Nice, huh?

Just put it in your center console and hold it up to the windshield when you drive through a toll. Even if it doesn't read the toll tag for some reason, it still scans your license plate and will bill you normally.

I put mine behind the texas state inspection sticker (not the ugly blue one). Mineused to always fall off with the sun, but since I moved it there it has never fallen off, and also can't not be seen from the front. It works well, no missed tolls. When it is time for inspection just remove it and replace velcro.

Just get the new tolltag that is a sticker (like the state inspection and registration sticker) and problem solved. No velcro strips or glue!!

Mine chills behind my rear view with no falling/issues thus far. I dont like the big blue sticker tag, so i kept the old style.
