Default Good Shop in North Dallas Area to do Coilovers?

Hello NT fellow CLers! I'm looking for any recommendations you all may have for a coilover job on my 2005 SC.

I was quoted $750 from Park Place Plano with alignment and loaner car, of course. The guys on the SC430 forum said that price was a crime.

Called Davenport and they said $600 with no alignment and a Camry loaner

Didn't call Sewell...but they are next.

Any thoughts? I also would like to have my 68 series bulbs replaced in the headlight housing and my front bumper parking lights and fog lights replaced with LED's, but the only way is to drop the bumper, so I would like to get this done as well at the same shop. I was quoted about $150 to do all this as well.

Thanks

$600-750 just for installing coilovers!?! That is pretty insane. You might check with JP Importz or Kustomz Unlimited.

There are a couple of places that I know of..

Dallas Frame and Alignment. This is the ONLY place I go for an alignment. They will install your coilovers too. Everything is done by hand. No computers used. I highly recommend this place as I have been going there for years.

Good Year in Coppell off of Sandy Lake (Ask for Jenny.. tell her Eric with the Silver SC sent you) They did mine for $250 I think. I DONT recommend you get an alignment there tho. They are just not familiar with aligning lowered cars.

As you know.. an alignment is crucial. I let my coilovers settle a bit before I did my SC. If you drop your ride low I dont recommend you drive too much prior to alignment. Your tires will be TOAST. I plan on getting a much needed camber kit for the front very soon.. Good luck.. and post pics when your done. Hope to see you at a meet some day.

Do they have an in ground alignment rack or is it the standard type? Do they offer 1 year+ free alignments on lowered vehicles?

Ground Alignment rack is used. Not sure about a 1 year warranty. 6 mos maybe..

I see you mentioned JP Imports.. Jason (owner of JPI) referred me to this shop in 2007. Been going there ever since.

For installation, I would highly recommend Kustomz Unlimited in Garland. Talk to Khamla over there...he may be shorthanded this week because of SEMA, but their work is top notch.
