Default Advice - Leaky Strut

So I had my brakes done recently ($320), during the work they pointed out my front driver side strut is leaking, it looks wet is how he explained it and the other side one looked dry so I am not sure if this is right but thats what they said.

Would it be better to get stock struts, or get something after market that would improve the ride?

Any advice/ideas would help.

Costs to.
