Hey guys, I'm from around the Grapevine area, and about to purchase some HIDs for my lows and fogs on my IS250. Trying to get idea on what color temp to get, stuck between 5000k and 6000k for both, any second gen IS owners with HIDs around so I can see them in person?

just an advise from my own experience, the higher the temp you go, your visibility gets poorer. i don't have an IS but i went with 6k for the lows and 3K for the fogs. just my $0.02.

I have 10K low's & fogs. Any hid temp IMO would be better than stock bulbs.

Depends on the brand too. I have both 6K in my lows and fogs, but I have factory HID's for my lows.

Are you buying a kit for your lows or just the bulb?

I run 6k, prolly about the highest Id go. If you want something more oem color go with 4300.

I'm getting an HID conversion kit for lows and fogs, probably the Volt kit from XenonDepot. Starting to lean more towards 6000k, just afraid it will be too blue for my liking...

yup.. i have 6000k for lows and fogs.. but its not blue at all.. its dimond white..

I have 3k lows and fogs. Missing aballast for my passenger fog.

I've got 3000k in my fogs as well. I think is the Lexus thing to do...lol I love the look as well!
