Default Humming noise @ 40Mph

I just picked up an 06 430 with just over 50k an I notice there is a humming noise that starts up @ around 40Mph. It sounds like a pulsing hum not continuous, I was told it was a wheel bearing. I wanted to see if anyone has had the same noise from a bad wheel bearing..? I noticed one of the rear wheels is damaged from what looks like a big pot hole possibly and it has a different tire. I'm thinking if there is a bad bearing it would be at that wheel? Input appreciated.

A bad tire can cause a very similar sound as a bad wheel bearing. Jack up the corner that you suspect to be bad. Rock the wheel top to bottom and see if there is any play. Also spin the wheel while you hold the spring. Any vibration will transfer an you'll be able to feel it. Good luck with the fix
