Long time Subie owner buys a Lexus.
Hello NTX,
I have been in a Subaru for 11 years now. I found a used Lexus for a great price and took a chance. I never new that cars were supposed to have quiet interiors . I am quite happy with my purchase (2007 IS250 RWD). I am a long time forum member of Nasioc (Puns10), 3gwrx (Spoolin), seccs (Dark RX), LegacyGT (TXleggy). I just wanted to introduce myself to a new forum.
Regards,
Jacob

I'm a former '05 Legacy GT owner myself. I was "Zoombaru" over on LegacyGT.com and NASIOC.com, although I wasn't hugely active on the latter.
A number of us were trying to start up a local Legacy group that was just getting up to 6+ LGTs or so per meet. I decided to dump mod money into my newly-purchased SC300 and got an offer I couldn't refuse on my Legacy, so I sold it before I got to see if the group took off or not.

We have a good, no-attitudes Lexus group here in the North Texas area. We've got clusters of folks in Tarrant County, Arlington and the NE Dallas area (concentrated in/around Plano). Check out the Facebook page for the group and feel free to come hang out at any and all get-togethers.
We're not necessarily all 100% Lexus-focused as most of us are at least into Toyotas (one big family, right?) and just cars in general.

Welcome aboard! Those 2nd gen IS's make for a nice daily, but I bet you're feeling a bit of that power loss compared to the old subie. Scott, I think those are the first pictures Ive seen of your Legacy, that thing was cleeeean.

Here was my old bugeye. It was what carried me out to TX back in 2006. I was cobb tuned with a VF-34, Cobb DP, and Tanabe CBE. Yes those are the ugly faux-alteza light that were oh so popular.
Next was my 2007 Legacy SE. Traded in the Bugeye and went NA. Put Perrin CBE, Tein type-H springs and spec B wheels. Passed it on to my ex. She has custody now...
After that, I purchased a 2010 WRX Limited, and I spent little time before modifying it. Mostly bolt on parts. Started with the Accessport with a custom map from Chris Cone, AVO 380, Perrin TBE, AEM CAI, Perrin Turbo inlet, and i switched back and forth from the Perrin TMIC and the AVO TMIC. For suspension, It was just a set of swift sport springs and Perrin RSB and FSB.
It was my daily driver for work. I was driving from Keller to Plano everyday, and I was getting about 19 MPG hwy. I put 39,000 miles on it in 2 years. I ended up selling it, then moved a mile from work , and regretted it. The Lexus has grown on me though. It does not have he power of the subie, but it is such a great, quite ride. In a few years, I will look to upgrade to a 350 or maybe if i find a deal on a ISF.
Thanks for the welcomes. It always good to join a great community of people.
