I purchased a JDM engine for my 2003 Lexus SC430 last week. I am happy about the price and the vendor. However, the oil pan on the purchased engine is in a different location than on my original engine. JDM's mechanics can move the oil pan and dipstick to fit my vehicle. My concern is whether this will affect how the engine is designed and require additional modifications.

 

Lower oil pan location depends on donor vehicle, specifically where the crossmember was located. Can swap over components without issue.
