Default Sway bar install in NJ?

Does anyone know of a dealer/shop that will install Daizen sways in NJ?

I bought a pair of Daizen Sways from Todd, but I can't find a dealer or shop that will install near Holmdel. DiFeo and Ray Catena Lexus flatly refused to install any parts that were not purchased from them. I called four local shops that do suspensions work, but as soon as I mention it's a Lexus, they all they all refused to do the work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check the "*** Reputable Places In NY/NJ Area ***. " thread. you'll get a lead in there that's
pretty close to your area, Oakhurst, i believe.

Thanks for the information. I'll call those shops in the other threads tomorrow.

I did the front sway installation myself. I'm having problems with the rear endlinks. I managed to get the endlinks out but couldn't put them back in without loosing the suspension bolts. Those big suckers don't want to turn at all.

Don't feel to bad man. i am an absolute idiot when it comes to car mechanics so i took mine
to a local shop that deals with MB's, BMR's & Lexus' and he couldn't get the rear sways on either.
i called Todd and he said to make sure he follows the directions. i call my mechanic and he says
"directions?". LOL!!
anyway, welcome to the club. maybe i'll check ya' around.

PEACE.

Good job on the fronts....Yah...I had a hard time flipping the endlink around. Like you...I got them out but had a hard time putting them back in. You need to loosen up that bolt that holds the shocks/springs unit. Grab a metal pipe and slip it over the ratchet....that'll give you some leverage. If you can't bugdge that bolt (which happened to me)...I just lightly hammered the endlink in place...which was harder than it sounds...but still possible.

Pete

You guys are just awesome. I was so discouraged after calling the local dealers and was basically told i was an idiot for installing anything aftermarket on my lex. But 48 hours after posting for help here, I got my sway installed and loving it!! This place rules.

I called bodymotion mentioned by walter in the other thread and got my rear sways installed this morning. The shop was very professional and did an excellent job. My car corners so much flatter with the new sways. Now all i need to do is take it to an empty parking lot and find the new limits where the tires lose traction.

Pete: You are definitely skilled. There is so little room near the endlinks, how did you hammer it in and get it into the correct place?

Glad you got your sways installed. I had the same 'snooty' problem with Lexus of Cherry Hill, and also the problem of local suspension shops refusing to work on Lexus. I was going to suggest Lawrence Lexus - they did my L-Tuned install, even though I got the parts from Steve Ganz. They were reasonably priced and did an excellent job.

Where's 'bodymotion" in NJ? I'm about to buy the Daizen's this spring.

I don't understand why the dealers have such an attitude when it comes to installing after market parts. What ever happened to the "customer is right"?

Bodymotion is located right across the street from Ray Catera Lexus service.

Bodymotion has been in business for over 20 years. Their shop is extermely clean and professional. Their billing rate is $75 per hour. I was charged 1.5 hours for installing just the rear sway (should have been half an hour job at the most, since the old sway was already taken out), so they are a bit costly, but i was glad to pay a little extra to get it done right and not have to put up with the Lexus dealer's attitude.

Thanks.
Didn't you know that "the customer is always right" has been replaced by "the lawyer is always right"???
