Now ... if you have a track day, I just might have to participate in that

 

only 4 people voted... i guess we are going to have a very low turnout.

 

I'd like to see a track day and see what that LS can do on a 1/4 mile.

 

Just to recap on what's been mentioned so far..

The choices talked about for use of a track day are ATCO Raceway and Englishtown Raceway (both in NJ). As mentioned by HotBlue400, "ATCO has wed and fri night test and tune nights.. opens at 530 lanes last call at 1030 i usually get 3-6 runs in .. no matter how busy it is.. and its cheaper than Raceway park".

I also noticed that Atco is quite a distance away from NY/NE region compared to Englishtown (Atco is about 25-30 min from Philadelphia), so location of the track meet should also be a concern.

For the dyno day, the only choice talked about so far is the one Angel is setting up on July 24th (more info here).

Keep in mind that track schedules for the summertime are getting full with shows, points contests, etc.

Let's all help out Dennis (VSsc400) with his track/dyno cravings!

 

no cravings. lol. I'm waiting for a call back from englishtown to get some details...

this may have to be one of those weeknight things. i know englishtown is test and tune night on wednesdays.

 

I live about 35 mins from englishtown and 45 from atco.. if we go to e-town it will be full of honda's and such.. youll get about 2-3 runs and be waiting about 35-50 mins between runs.. atco us much more low key.. any NY and north NJ heads can meet me in central NJ where i live and i can lead the quick way down.. ive been goin to atco since '97

 

this sounds good.. but since the doors open at 5:30 and many will not be able to get there till 7 or 7:30...

have you been there on weekends? is it crowded?

 

If anyone wants to hit the track in Maryland or Northern Virginia, I'm game. We have 4 tracks to pick from

 

we used to usually get there around 7-730 and get 4-6 runs in.. i mean if you got there at like 530 there would only be like 15-20 cars there and you would get like 15 runs in before it got crowded..

 

pick a date and i'll take a 1/2 day at work.

 

i say july 7 or 14 .. i figure if we all meet in central NJ near me, around 6 we can get there before 7 and they dont call last call for lanes till 1030.. so lots o' time..

 

i would say the 14th...

Sounds good to me.. either on is under 50 mins for me, but we WILL get more runs in at ATCO..
