I believe it's time to start nailing down all the firm details of the event, so that we can memorize them and start searching for local sponsoring shops, businesses, media, dealerships, etc. and use the event ideas as our pitch. I'll go ahead and list the bulleted points of the event (feel free to add any later on).
(1) What is the official name of our event?
(2) What is the purpose of this event?
(3) Who is invited? (I think we know the answer to that one)
(4) What is the capacity of the event?
(5) What time and date is the event?
(6) Where is the event held?
(7) What is required to bring to the event?
Once we get answers for these items, then I think it's time to start a new thread, with maybe a poll for dates. With all this mandatory information on hand, it will be relevant to start drumming up conversation with those potentially interested in assisting/sponsoring the event. It would also be a great idea for someone to keep a headcount of all CL members planning to come to the event, and what states they're coming from.

Ok just to throw out some ideas for name I think maybe
East Coast Lexus Extravaganza
East Coast Mega Meet
Just a couple for thought.
I think the purpose is for the members of CL from the east coast to finally meet and see the cars they only get to see on the board.
Everyone is invited lol, well everyone who owns a lexus of course.
Capacity will have to be talked about once we get a place.
Date and time should be late summer like august?
I like DC/Bmore for the loaction.

Not to try to out-do Blue, but if we're going to have an official name as Doug suggests
(perhaps a banner of some sort??) we outta' have CL mentioned somewhere.
maybe "Club Lexus East Coast Meet 2005" or "Club Lexus East Coast Alliance 2005"
or something like that?
just my .01 (i've not been around enough to have .02

as far as the exact name. it doesn't have to be my suggestion . anything thats short and to the point that doesn't sound goofy is cool with me....

Good point, guys. no disrespect to the other forums, just completely zoned out
there for a moment. yeah, i guess putting this up to a vote would be a good thing.
this thread is already getting long and some good suggestions would be missed
if we try to resolve all issues here.
Hopefully Dave will be able to split some new threads so we can create focus groups
which will look into the various details. i'll help in any way needed.

Definitely down with the cool name / acronym if we can come up with one. Eastcoast Lexus Super Invitational Event (ELSIE just kidding, lol).

i just think its a good word for a lexus event. let me know what you guys think, and if anyone can add to it. when we decide on a name, we should have some stickers made so that everyone can have them on their cars so we will all look official.
