i got so bored this morning that i staired at the map and started 2 think what kind of numbers we could get as far as cars....when u look at the map so many places would b within 10-12hours of the washington area, well except us florida guys but i don't care...we could get people from as far as new orleans 2 show up....i even expect a lot of the texas guys 2 make the drive.... this could b so crazy..i was also thinking of dates and the problem i c with sept is that people always plan 4 nopi at that time, so it kind of leaves us with late august (dragon run) or middle sept(nopi) what do we do? last question. we probably need 2 pick a place b4 we start 2 think of a date right?

It's about a 8-1/2 hr drive (884 km).

You just made my day bro!!!

I will DEFINITELY come out!! An 8 hour drive is nothing compared to the amount of fun we will have at such a big meet!

My butt is still sore from last years drive of 14 hours to NC for the Dragon event. 8 hours however is very doable!

i just checked its a 15 1/2 houe drive from West palm beach Florida 2 D.C. so that means most the guys south of me r probably 16-17 hours away from the D.C. area...very far but i'll b there i'm sure they will to..

Ya Washington would be ideal, not too far for me prolly like 8-9 hours and it is a central point for mostly the whole east coast. Maybe we should start a poll for the time then we can decide on the place. I think we have more of an idea of where we want to do this as opposed to WHEN we want to do it.

Is anyone from Washington here in this thread?
We should defintetely have caravans together to make the long drives as interesting as possible.
I was thinking May/June as a timeframe.
Also will be looking at events during this time period.
Maybe the 2nd day have a mutli-car meet, 1st day Lexus only?

A lot of possibilities. I do have a good friend in D.C, he is a member here, ownz a 20th Anniversary Max with mods. I am sure he would help bunches.

The beach still sounds good to me too....

Not sure who to assign what yet.....I am sure Dave and I will take about in person at NOPI next month...

I just letft the DC area. I'd like to add that DC is no place for cars with low profile tires. It's not as bad as NYC but it's still not fun, unless we are looking for an autocross event.

A better place would be somewhere in VA or MD. Maybe SRT could loan us their parking lot. SRT is in College Park, MD and is about 20 to 30 minutes north of DC.

Yeah, im down for this. When i suggested Washinton DC, i guess i shoulda specified "Washington DC metropolitan area" (ie. Northern VA, Southern MD). Yeah downtown dc would be a bad idea . haha. About 15 min out of the city will get you plenty of open lots and nice hotels. As someone mentioned above, SRT is in college park. Ive been there to see some maximas get dyno'ed the people are cool i bet they'd help us out w. an event if we just ask.
