edit: heres a map of the entrance http://www.mapquest.com/maps/refresh...nter&rand=3145
Coming from the GWB, 95, that way, you'll be going down a hill and see a spot to park your car on the left. You'll see a little entrance with a sign next to it. Not sure what it says but thats where you turn. Your going to stay to the left. The road isn't the greatest so pay attention to potholes. Plus there will probably be people walking and biking. You'll pass under the GWB. Eventually you'll come to a little circle, stay to the right and you'll come to the park.
The directions posted before will get you 99% of the way there, this will just help you get into the park easily. If I have time tomorrow or early on in the week, I'll go there and snap a pic of the actual entrance so you will have a visual reference.

mclaren, the Mapquest link is not working. Could be that you copied the wrong address within Mapquest when you typed in the Ross Dock Park location. I really appreciate the help you've been providing in getting us completely informed of the exact location of the park, and I agree that a picture showing the entrance of the park would be a big help
mclaren, if that's OK with you, I'm going to put you in charge of getting slices of cheese (however many is sold per pack at the supermarket) for the BBQ meet. Please let me know

I can bring that, no problem. Just your regular slices of American sound good?
THe link works for me I'll see about snapping that pic though. Its less than a mile after you turn on to main street though. No problem for the directions. Its aannoying to plan an event and have people not come cause they couldn't find the place. Plus I'd love to see all your hooked up GS and other Lexi.

For almost every one of our meets, we are usually pretty good with directions (maybe due to the navigation systems equipped with most of our rides?) Looking fwd to seeing you and the CL on Sunday; I think you'll be very impressed at the GS turnout in the meet

Caravan info
Everyone, if you and some other others are planning to travel together in a caravan from wherever to the meet, you can start posting up info about it now. When the caravan info gets finalized, I will add that onto the 1st post on the 1st page (remember to keep checking it for updates!).
I will start with the caravan for people coming from CT and MA. Here's the info:
LOCATION: Danbury Fair Mall - Danbury, CT
TIME: 10:00am
Take I-84 West and get off at left-hand exit 3 (Rte.7 - Norwalk). You will clearly see the mall on the
right. Take 1st exit (Park Avenue). Drive straight through the 1st light, and make a left at the 2nd
light. Look for the Lexus car bunch parked in front of Filene's.

Directions to Park.
The directions posted on the first page will get you 99% of the way there, this will just ensure you all make it there safely.
(sorry some of the pics aren't the greates, but they were taken from in my car and my camera sucks)
After you turn onto River Road, go 1/4 mile and the entrance will be on your left.
You'll see this sign http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93026772tdrfII
* As a point of reference, this building is across the street from the entrance. It will be on your right.
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93026882IctVYm
The entrance will be on the left side of it, and it looks like this http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027022ApOdTw Stay to the LEFT. THe right takes you down to some shacks and stuff.
You'll go down a road that looks like this for almost over a mile (not sure, didn't measure) http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027141qrAXzw but theres no where to turn off so it isn't that hard.
You'll pass directly under the GWB http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027271dEgTEp
(take about homeland security )
Then you'll come to a little circle. Just stay to the right. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027376ytncMl
And here is the entrance to the park http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027495udiajp
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027609cQtnoT
Just follow that road down and you'll come to the park http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027665EZlMLY
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93027728MMCxIW
This place is truely beautiful. If I had more time, I wouldn't of minded just chillin there for a little. It was nice and peacuful as no one was there and the view is gorgeous.
That should get you there with out any trouble. If it doesn't, I'm sorry but it you're beyond help LOL
If your coming from the other side of River Road, just look for the building on your Left and the entrance would be on your Right.
LIttle side story, I found this fella cruising along on the way home from the park
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93026658aZMxNl
Gave him a little run for the money in the CL and I guess he couldn't handle losing to a measly Acura so he had to get off.
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...93026595VXureC
Actually he was just crusing along. It was kind of congested, but I would of loved to heard/seen him open it up. Nearly took out the car in front of me when I saw it come up on my left. THe calipers on that thing are huge! They look to be the size of my foot (size 13 shoe) and they matched the bodies bright yellow
For those who couldn't tell from the pics (I know its hard cause my camera sucks) its a Lambohrghini Gallardo.

mclaren, thank you for posting up the pictures from the River Rd. entrance to the actual park entrance. Much appreciated!
I agree that it looks like someone could get lost trying to find the park, so perhaps the best way we can handle this situation (on the day of the meet) is to have 1 or 2 of us (whoever arrives first at the meet) park themselves at the River Rd. entrance and at the circle before the park entrance sign. This way, they can help guide the attendees to the location of the meet without any problems.
