As some of you may have remembered from the last meet we had in Fort Lee, NJ, I want to plan another meet/gathering to take place in Mass. (preferably close to but outside of Boston). The last meet we had in MA was last year, which took place at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. Jimmy (2001HiTech) was there, and so were me, Derrick and Steve (steviej). I know since then that we have a bunch more new members from MA and Boston, and believe some of them would love to have a meet held close to home, so I think that this is the time

Let's start talking about it now, just only for those who are interested in joining the meet. Regarding the where and when, I'm thinking of the 1st weekend of November, and maybe at one of plaza or restaurants along Rte. 9 (Natick) with a sizable parking lot. Anyone else?

it all depends on the day of course, but I'm in if I can make it.

How about F1 in Braintree, then we can do some real racing on the go-kart track. It is right off the highway.

BTW, the "thing" is enroute to me as we speak so it should be installed by November.

I like the idea of having a meet at F-1. Although I've never been there, I've heard a lot about that venue and some friends who've been there. For those who are curious, here is the link for F-1 (http://www.f1-boston.com/). This seems a lot more fun than your average go-kart facility

If we choose to have the meet held there, maybe we can get Lexus of Norwood in on this mini-event and help donate some product in an effort to advertise their business. Steve, do you want to keep that in mind (since you've had service work done on your ES at the Norwood dealership)?

Ah yes a locla meet for once this sounds like a real good idea. I am in and we could even ahve it at the shop if you want. We have a huge parking lot and are closed on sundays but obviously I have the key so it would not be a problem. It is right on rt 9 in Shrewsbury across from Spags. Let me know what you guys think??

i'm interested to drive up to boston area. the F1 is very good idea. it will be a bit to cold for BBQ or parking lot drooling.

OK so we have the following people interested in a Mass. mini-meet: steviej, fireballs gs400, Lexis11, EvgeshaIS300, and possibly Derrick.

I am all for the idea of having it held at F-1 Boston since it will get chillier by the time November rolls around, and nobody wants to stand around the parking lot for hours. I have to attend an event in Hartford CT on Nov. 6-7, so that weekend won't work for me unfortunately. Do you guys want to do the meet on Saturday or Sunday , Nov. 13th or 14th, or is that date too far ahead?

Since it seems kinda pointless to do a final meet in the middle of November when winter is just around the corner, and that most of us have already started winterizing our vehicles, I will forgo the plans of the meet and wait until next spring. Hopefully by then, we'll be all rested up and ready with new mods to be installed
