the sensor is on because the abs line wasn't disconnected properly when you did so (or maybe you didn't disconnect it)
either way, that sensor is like $800 from the dealer

are you saying that the abs is never going to work again unless i get a new abs sensor or does it mean i just need to connect it correctly and it'll remedy the problem?

it means you aint got ABS till u replace that sensor......
(at least thats the case with my GS) I believe you are in the same boat
(check with dealer to be sure)

I'm not so sure about that. The sensor only comes out one way (it is only held in with 1 small bolt) additionally, the sensor was placed inside a plastic bag to prevent any dirt from getting on the sensor and was replaced the same way it was removed. I'm think that since the sensor was removed while the battery was still connected that removing the negative terminal and allowing the ECU to reset may remedy the problem.
