Good Body Shop for Lexus in Boston?
Hi,
I've just purchased an used 5SPD SC300 and I really love the car. It drives beautifully and the body shape is great. However, as the car is over 12 years old now, some of the paint has come off and it's clear that there was some damage from gravel and keys, etc. The point is that I'm looking for a good place in the Boston area to get the scratches painted over. I was hoping to find someplace that has really high quality paint and can blend the repainted areas in to the rest of the car so that people won't be able to tell there were scratches previously.
I would appreciate any suggestions about good body shops in the Boston area. Is the Lexus dealership (Lexus of Watertown) any good?
Thanks a lot and I appreciate any help.

Don't bother going to LOW -- just go to Sako Autobody in Medford -- that's the palce they use.
I've had a pretty good experiance with them. Friendly people. Overworked at times, but definately good people.
John
PS: Nice to see another 5 speed around

John,
Thanks a lot for the help. I'll definitely bring it by them now that I've heard of a positive experience. Any particular person I should ask for or a particular treatment to ask for? Thanks a lot again.

PS. Yep, Stick shifts are they way to go. WAY more fun than auto.

If you talk with anyone at the front desk, you should be fine -- Jack's a great guy.
Tell them John Tocci (sounds like "Tah-chi") says hello and sent you over
I'm having a g2g in woburn on June 4th -- you should stop by. I'll be post a thread about it shortly.

Thanks a lot for the info. Are they good at blending in the new paint with old? I'd like to keep as much original paint as possible. Also, do you recommend washing the car before I drive it over? Once again, thanks.
