LEXFEST PARTICIPANTS - Did you book a room at the meet hotel?
Lexfest meet participants - did you book a room at the conference Holiday Inn hotel?
If so, how did you book it?
The hotel called and said we had only FIVE hotel rooms booked under the "LEX" discount code so far, and they've given us a discount on the conference room (which I was paying for myself btw) that won't be honored if we don't have more folks staying there.
Morris and I think that many of our participants signed up using the internet direct web rate, and we need to take that count back to them.
Can you please vote on the public poll above on where you're staying for the meet? We need to get back to the hotel later today.

I used the LEX code. I preferred to pay a little more but have the "full-refundability" option.
I specifically remember reading in one of the multiple Lexfest threads (either here or on my.IS) about someone using the Internet code, but I can't remember his name.

Well technically the group rate expired today, so it may not be in the system any longer. Or she just may be unfamilliar with the "LEX" discount. It may be known to them as the "clublexus Group rate for August 19th-21st"

I think you've hit upon something. When I made my reservation, at first they couldn't find the "LEX". When I persisted, the person taking my reservation eventually asked if it was ClubLexus.

I booked with the internet as well, funny enough if i entered a AAA/Caa member it gave me a rate that was our CL price but if i entered a "best price" it gave me 80 when i booked it yesterday.

dave and to whom ever this pertains tooo... i made my reservation using the internet since it was cheaper and i know i was comin... i didnt say anything in the comments box. should i have

Dave - I booked using the direct Internet code. Started thinking about what we talked about...and for the amount of time we'll actually be in the hotel - didn't make sense to stray from the group.
Also - not all that worried about the $10 difference - so if you want to tell them to change mine to the CL rate I'm fine with it...unless they need me to do that.
