The Art of Tint
Hey all...
I know that you guys have discussed tint many times in many threads, but I was just wondering about the specific experience anyone might have had with Tom at The Art of Tint.
www.theartoftint.com
Looking at his 'resume', doing many celebrities cars, as well as Bentleys, Maybachs and Phantoms and high-end dealerships, do you guys think he's worth the $250 quoted to do a car ... compared to other people who quoted me $150-180 for a car's tint?
Note: this is not for the high-end ceramic tint, but for usual non-metallic tint.
Thanks,
Tim

i did my tints with tom. he's a great guy and a class act. his work is top notch and even other tint shops praise his work.
i think one of the most important things to look out for with tints is the rear window. you should try to get this done with one piece of tint, which is harder to do. also you should watch to see if the tints are done all the way to the edge. some of those cheaper tint shops on every corner wont do as good of a job with this.
whoever you go with good luck!

tints uptown
goto dyckman in manhattan near the marina... There are several tint shops there that all do great work..(they should, they do the all the cars for the entire pharmaceutical industry up there...) anyway i've gotten my cars in the past done there and their real good and they guarantee it plus they all try to out bid each other so you can hustle them...

Nah i haven't been stopped...at least not in the gs yet.. but so long as they do not have the meter you can fight it.

I'm about to do my tints before my baby hibernates for the winter but I think I'm going to stop at 35% and see what they look like. Don't need another reason for the gangsters to stop me more than what they already do.

i'm in east elmurst- jackson heights...
35's are ok ..you know you can go darker on the rears so long as the driver and passenger are lighter ..and the keystoners won't really bother you unless they hate like they always do...
