Poor Freddies in Queens.
I dealt with Poor Freddies before...they sent me and my rim across the street to another shop for repairs and refused my business..I was a bit confused because a majority of CL recommended this shop...They later explained that they no longer have rim fix as a service....Overall, subpar customer service from Poor Freddies...They want you in and out as quickly as possible...Not very professional...The wheel shop across the street actually had better service than Poor Freddies...Although, I personally wouldn't recommend either of these shops..The prices are way too high and the service didn't live up to expectations..

How much did the place across the street charge? Where can we get the rims repaired?

From what I'm hearing we may end up in NJ for chrome rims, anything other that chrome, Whitey's on Atlantic Ave in Bklyn can do it.

I don't know any specific spot for chrome but I definitely need to find one, FAST, summer's coming.

I've got a local place that will recondition the entire wheel. (REmove curb rash, polish, re-clear coat remove bends) for $125 a wheel. If it needs to be "re-chromed" $250 a wheel.

Bringing this post back from the dead...

A friend of mine bent a rim last year, and had Jazz at Pooor Freddies in NYC repair it. Cost of the dismount, repair, remount, balance was fair at $75 for the rim.

Bent another rim and now I'm reading this and seeing that they don't do repair anymore? Anyone else have any info on this?

Anyone try out Rising Sun's place?
