Default attention CT people with infraction experience

I got lost and took an illegal left turn (clearly marked - no left turn). There was a cop waiting for me and pulled me over shortly after taking the turn . I got an infraction of 103usd (cop seemed jealous of a 23 yr old driving a gs300, not sure though). He did not even give me the opportunity to explain or talk.

I am a resident of MA .. should I just pay the ticket and move on? Is it true that there will be no affect on my points if I pay the ticket? I have been driving for 6 years and have a 100% clean record (never been pulled over before).

this was at an i395 exit (i missed the foxwods one, so the one right after it).

Thx

You don't really have a lot of options.

I would just pay the ticket. If it's your first ticket in 6 years of driving, it's minor. Check with your states DMV website to see if they share points with neighboring states.

Hey Bhuwan! I didn't even know there was a Northeast forum until just now.

Well my opinion is gambling is for Foxwoods, not citations. My belief is, and I could be wrong, if you pay the ticket CT will not report anything to MA. However, if you do not pay the ticket, they will inform the Mass Registry.

If this is true, to me its not worth the gamble because you know you will pay for this ticket for the next 7 years on your insurance.

Of course the other option is to go to court and fight it. Hey, if the cop doesn't show up, the ticket is dismissed. I've had that happen several times.

typically you only get points on infractions based on your own state.
i live in dc, i can get 100 tickets in Va or MD but they cant give me any points on my dc liscense. i would read up on all the info at your local dmv.

my advice, pay the ticket. 100 bucks is a minor ticket.
fight it when its like a 300 dollar ticket. i have a few tikets on my record.
the only thing insurance ever tells me is about my accident i got in like 5 years ago, never any of my tickets.
