Default Moving to NJ any suggestions on where to live?

I am moving to NJ with my fiancee. Her job requires her to live within an hour of newark airport and I will be working in summit, east orange or berkley heights. Any recommendations of where to live or where to avoid?

Anyone know of any apt with private garages?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Bergen county is really nice. Englewood, Tenafly, Teaneck, Leonia etc.
But those are manily house neighbourhoods.

If you want an apartment, you will most likely have to look elsewhere. Not sure what your budget is but, a VERY nice place for apartments is west new york on the kennedy blvd. It's right across the hudson river from ny and you will have a view of manhattan. All these places are really close to newark airport (30 minutes tops).

Last time i lived in jersey was a few years ago tho so i am sure others will have more in depth advice for you. I have heard bad things about orange but it's hearsay.

PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM ENGLEWOOD OR LEONIA. Englewood is a craphole while Leonia is the most boring small town on this earth. Teaneck has nice parts but it also has a HORRIBLE school system. Tenafly is decent...

And yes Orange sucks...

Try, Edgewater or anything west on the Palisades Parkway.

I would have to say this. Stay away from central NJ. This is where all MAJOR traffic ends up. Especially Garden state parkway, route 1&9, Route 22, and most importantly, the Pulaski skyway.

Jersey City - Good place to live, but you need to search a lot before you find an apartment. Roughly 25 minutes from Newark Int. Airport. The heights area is where you want to be! Best restaurants, shopping plazas, best stores, and the best clothes! Not to mention the people are awesome!

Bayonne - Pretty good place to live. Quiet area.

Greenville - Pretty good area to live at.
