I just re-checked the weather on weather.com using zip code 11432, Jamaica, Queens...Great news!! only 20% precipication on Sunday...This meet is a GO!!

Canadian Model, GGEM! This is 8pm on Sunday with the 12hr precip (8am-8pm) on Sunday, bottom right panel. Looks around 30 mm or 1.18" of rain!
American Model, GFS! Same time frame QPF forecast.
American Model, NAM (Short range model)! Same time frame QPF forecast.
The NAM is the model to cheer for, but have a hunch it is wrong and will trend towards the GFS & GGEM tomorrow afternoon on the 12Z (8am) run. I'll update tomorrow evening.
One more map hot off the presses from HPC. This image is from 8am to 2pm Sunday. That blob of precip is moving Nward FYI!

Just called parks deptment, no rain date is available..If we want to have another date, we'll have to reapply for another permit..This will take another month or so...
We'll have a bunch of canopies on site, in case it does rain....
Rain or shine, you're guranteed to have a good time...

would love to join in the fun, but alas, my GS is up on jack stands while I paint the calipers in prep for new wheels next Saturday. By then the roof spoiler will be on as well. I will join you guys on the next one.
I was just looking as some pictures of the meet at Alley Pond that was held in October of 2003. Funny how time flies.
