The What Shop Should I go to Thread...
Most of us here don't go to the dealer for service so it would be nice if everyone could make a recommendation for a shop, mechanic, autobody ect... I've been seeing a ton of post asking where can i get this or that fixed or changed. Just post of up the name of the shop, the location, contact info for the shop, and the type of work you get done by them and maybe even what you paid. This way we can all have a handy reference with objective information.

Based on my experience over the years, the answer is yes.. Things may be different now.. Back in 02, I took my GS4 to Rallye for service & was not pleased with the results & price.. I had a coolant service completed & instead of Toyota Red (which was in the car prior), green coolant was utilized. Labor was about $90 per hour back then and boy did it add up fast.. I will post comparison reciepts later..
You guys can get basic services at 104 Auto (Gazi) for less..
or
those who live further out on the Island can check out Jeff at Maximum Tuning.. He is a former Lexus Tech who has also done work for many here.

Preventive maintainence is important guys.. Don't wait for parts to fail.

^^Yes Jeff does good work along with Gazi. Here are comparison receipts for a coolant flush service at Lexus of Rockville Centre, Rallye Lexus & Toyota of Bayside.. Note the cost of labor for Lexus of Rockville Centre $108.00, Rallye Lexus back in 2002 $90.00+$25.98 & Toyota of Bayside at $81.00 bucks per hour..

A Good Paintjob
How about a good paint job with bodywork doorjams and trunk jam painted but no under the hood touched for under $3000? A show quality job but not A show quality price?

To get my Transponder Keys cut I went to:
OK Lock - Auto Glass - Alarm
156-13 Northern Blvd in Flushing
718-961-4660
718-961-3934
I think I paid about $30 to get two keys cut. I programmed them myself though.
