Believe it or not, most hand wash places cause more harm to your paint than some machine washes.. How low is the car (pics)? There is a brush free wash that I take my cars too (including my lowered GS) with no scratching of the wheels on tracks or paint swirls..

Which place do you go to? I just took mine to a hand car wash place on 175 st and horace harding expy. They did a pretty good job, Although i noticed some scratches that werent there before. Easy to notice a freshly painted black car.

My GS400 is black also. Black is a bish to upkeep.. Trust me when I tell you that want I appreciate a swirl mark free finish on my car & I've owned this Lexus for almost 9 years now.. Here is a vid demonstrating the various car wash methods.. You be the judge to which is best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZjWkB_q2lE

It take my cars to this wash below..

Squeaky Clean Car Wash
1790 Hempstead Tpke
Elmont, NY 11003
(516) 616-0915

They do not utilize brooms to clean any portion of the car.. The cleaning process is one to behold.. The robotic arms that wash the car are made of a synthetic material and not plastic or cloth... I will take pics & vid of the GS going through the wash (since lowered & black) for you guys to witness perhaps this weekend.
