there is a byway that runs by the great lakes. The whole stretch is 450 miles. We can take the Northwestern approach of that road wich is about 120 miles. there are a few motels en-route. I'll starting getting the whole info in a few days. I'm going on vacation this week so I'll post full details next next tuesday.

Syph, I gotta be in NY to handle some business on Monday, if you guys do it this wknd, what day will it be? Cause I gotta go to church on sunday.
Oh yeah, I was talking about 395, the start of it is 10 minutes from my front door, so I would like to come and roll. Also, the ride down 395 from Worcester Mass to Mohegan is not that long, maybe 1hr15-1hr45min, plus the roads are nice and smoooth. LETSDOTHEDAMNTHANG

Hey Dennis, any details yet on the byway drive to the Great Lakes?
Well, just to keep another idea open for the next meet, we could take a leisurely drive along 17 West to Ithaca or Syracuse (probably some good hangout areas in Cornell and other college campuses). Then continue driving along I-90 East (I've driven along that part of the highway a few times before, and the scenery is VERY nice and tranquil, esp. in the summer), stop at the casino in Verona, chill in Albany, then drive back home along the Thruway. As you can see, it won't be all just driving...

hotel rooms up there are pretty cheap. When ever there is no power or such, my cuzin and his family spend the night at a hotel.
that reminds me, none of you should more up there. It gets so cold their water pipe freezes and no water. And the amount of snow is just unreal.
