After hanging around the "NY meeting" thread, I decided there's enough interest to have the meet held at Alley Pond Park in Queens, NY. Here's all the info breakdown:

Date & Time:
Sunday, Oct. 12th (day before Columbus Day), 1PM (we'll wait for the fashionably late )

Location:
Parking lot in Alley Pond Park, located on 76th Ave. off of Springfield Blvd in Oakland Gardens NY (map directions are here).

For those coming from Bronx and all pts north, take I-295 South to Throgs Neck Bridge to LIE East, off at exit 29 (Springfield Blvd). Right on Springfield to left on 76th Ave to parking lot.
For those coming from Long Island, take LIE West, off at exit 29 (Springfield Blvd). Left on Springfield to left on 76th Ave to parking lot.
For those coming from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and NJ, take either I-278 East or I-678 North to LIE East, off at exit 29 (Springfield Blvd). Right on Springfield to left on 76th Ave to parking lot.

The Deal:
I think everyone knows the drill... we park, get reunited and acquainted, admire our rides, chit-chat, take pictures, more chit-chat, show off items up for raffle or for sale, eat, etc. There's also Fizz Autosports located not far from the park if any of you are interested in parts shopping. Since this is a public park owned by NYC Parks & Recreation, it's wise not to do anything that provokes stupidity like burnouts, revving, tire screeching, or anything of that sort. Use common sense, and nobody will get red-flagged.

EDIT: Just realized that Fizz Autosports doesn't open on Sundays. Oh well...

As far as food goes, DaizenLex (Mike) is arranging a group dinner (for those interested) at the Boulder Creek steakhouse in Queens. This should take place a few hours after we've made our time at the park, which will probably be around 6PM. Here's the list of people going for dinner (please let me or Mike know that you're coming to dinner):

Other things:
Items to be sold or traded person-to-person, and any raffle or giveaway products you'd like to do. I got loads of CL stickers still yet to be emptied, and will raffle off a couple car care products.
Blackmarket will have a chrome GS grille, and a 5.6" video screen up for sale.
DaizenLex will have SC headlight and tailight assemblies up for sale.
VSsc400 has the following items for sale (and also license plate frames and decals from TM Engineering and Daizen Sport Tuning):

- 25mm H&R hubcentric track widening spacers x 4 ($220 or negot.)
- non-amplified bazooka tube with 10" Sony Xploid sub ($110 or negot.)

If you guys got any other ideas to add on to the meet like city drives and what not, post up and we'll discuss. We'll most likely do a couple drives around the park and get some photo shoots of our cars with nice backdrops.

This has been a really bad (unlucky) year for meets for me...the last few were during really busy times when I had to work weekends, and this one is the weekend we move into our new house. I can't catch a break it seems.

Hopefully this won't be the last one berfore the weather gets too cold...I'd really like to hang out with you guys. I ran into MrSypher the other day on the way home from work and we pulled over and caught up on what's been going on lately, but I haven't seen the latest and gereates mods people have done, or seen any other members in a while.

Fizz doesn't really carry anything for Lexus...If anything they have to order it from Japan, it'll cost you about an arm and a leg...Personally, I think Steve Ganz is a better source for parts

What's up isman, I remember you and the Fizzed-out black IS 300 from Frances Blvd in Queens (before we drove out to the LI Motorsports track) back in April. Hey listen, since it seems you got connections with Fizz, do you think you could work out a deal with them for raffle/giveaway products like JDM or TRD parts and accessories, or even gift certificates? Telling them about this ClubLexus meet in Alley Pond Park should incite some interest. Just a thought...

Oh BTW, are you coming to this meet?
