Costco - $10 a tire out the door. $40 for the set. Cheapest around, but you're gonna wait for service there. First come first serve. Either get there first thing in the morning, or you're gonna wait 2-4 hrs depending on everything. Good thing it's a quiet week around the office.

So ... all tires are mounted and balanced. I've only driven on them about 4 miles, and I don't know if it's mental .. but the car feels more "floaty". More like a Cadillac. I was running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's, I'm now running Yoko AVS ES100's. I'll give a report in the tire section in a month or two.

Only problem they had, was they replaced the rubber valve stems. I know you're supposed to, but I said to keep em in, they went ahead and did it after a little pressuring telling me thats what you should do. Sure enough, 3 out of 4 .. no problem at all. However, one of 'em, they can't separate the metal to the old plug. They give me a "replacement one", looks close, but not exactly the right size. I doubt 98% of the people out there would notice .. but too bad I fall in that 2%.

Overall, least expensive place around. I didn't notice as much vibration at ~60. Hopefully it was my tires.
My parents had luck with Cain's Tire on 4th Street in San Rafael. My dad had some tires installed at Costco, they did a bad job.

Best place, hands down, is the Firestone in San Mateo. Talk to Alan 'Moo' Hung, tell him Dozer, the guy with the 700hp Corvette sent ya, and he'll hook you up with an excellent deal (no, I don't get any kickback, he's just always given me 10% over cost).

Try 'em, you'll like 'em.
