Default Thunderhill Track event

My buddies have setup a track event at Thunderhill on Jan 17th. Rain or shine. It is a drift and grip events with the track sectioned off into two parts. Let me know if you have any questions. Let's see what a big *** GS400 can do on the track!

no, it's not free.

I think it's about $125 if you sign up in advance. They take Paypal too. You won't find many track events cheaper.

not sure if this was answered in ure site so sorry if these are dumb questions...
Are cars provided or are u suppose to use ure own car?
Is there an age limit?

so w/ this track event, is there also gonna be a medical staff on hand, for those just in case emergency dealies??? also will there be track staff there to make sure everything goes along safely???

oh and will there be track instructors, or drivers that know what they are doing, out there??? or is this a pretty much free for all event where it comes down to the driver thinking they know what the line is???

As long as you have a license and your own car it should be fine. There will be a tech inspection to verify that your car is not leaking any fluids and you have proper safety equiptment (seat belts, helmet etc).

There will be flaggers on the track to warn you. Also there will be 3-4 groups from beginners to advanced. If it's your first time, stay in the beginners group. The beginner group will not allow any passing as oppsed to advanced. I'm not sure if there will be any instructors or a download session to review your driving. I'll have to check. Personally I don't think most people need a instructor because they can just follow the leader for learning experience.

I have never heard of anyone getting seriously hurt and I've seen a car flip over. A helicopter could come and pick up an seriously injured person.

Oh, if you pay in advance it's cheaper. If you wait to the end, it will be more expensive and there might not be any spots left.

will helmets be provided at the track??? will their be rental helmets, free loaners, or we gotta find them on our own???

No helmets will be provided but I used my motorcycle helmet with no problems.

Are s2k's with factory rollcages allowed? I may take my honda there ..been dying to try the car on the track..
