I'd like to try another dyno shop as the last one did not work out. Give a choice of dates and let everyone chime in.

Ryan, What's up after Jan 15?

hi guys, here's the official information on the dyno day, well minus the date, we still gotta get that part sorted out with you guys .

to make this all work out we need at least 10 cars, if there is more all the merrier, if there is too much to handle in one day it'll be split up over two days, so as to keep everything organized, professional and most importantly safe for not only all spectators but also the vehicles as well.

you get 3 pulls on the dyno, they use a Dynojet 248C, which is pretty accurate in recording the whp that u are putting out, ie much better than Dynapacks where there is a lot of guesswork... there will be about 15mins or so between pulls so as to let the car cool a little bit, so the car doesn't heatsoak, very powerful fans will also be blowing on the cars to assist in the cooling.

after the runs you will be given a graph of your pulls displaying HP, TQ and the A/F curve. prior to the runs the cars will be "teched" to add peace of mind that they don't blow on the dyno, forcing u to look for a ride home... the "tech" process is pretty basic, make sure there is oil, coolant etc in the car, if not then it'll be topped off.

the price for all of this will be $50, this price includes lunch as well as the pulls. lunch will comprise of either BBQ and drinks or pizza and drinks, the BBQ will most likely occur as long as the weather cooperates. drinks i assume will be non-alcoholic, for obvious reasons...

if ure wondering about the shops rep, its very good. they regularly hold dyno days as well as shop rentals, by some of the higher HP guys, ie making 1000hp.... a lot of one off and rare cars go to dynolabs becuase they know the service that ray and hoover provide will be of the utmost quality. ray and hoover are two very professional guys that know what they are doing. as most normal ppl are, they are highly concerned with their rep and so will go to all ends to try to keep everyone happy and safe.

and remember the most important part, the weather is cool so now is the time to dyno if you want BIG numbers hahaha :-D

so come on guys when's a good day for u guys, lets get this organized and get more than 10 cars so we can make a showing of this :-D

Cool Deal, I talked to Ray a few weeks ago and he seemed VERY interested in having a group of us come down there, thanks for taking the initiative. Late January works for me too, but i'm up for any time.

I'm good in Dec or Jan. Count me in. I want to get a baseline before the headers and tuning.

Any news, do we have a date yet? I'd really like to do this, but I have to do some general maint first(iridium replacements, wires, timing belt, blah blah) and install my cam gears before the dyno or it would be a waste for me...
