Next BIG MiniMeet: Dyno Day & More !!
OK,
it looks like we will be holding a Dyno Day AND Mini Meet on Saturday Feb. 28. With the great turnout we had from the mini-meet this past weekend, I wanna make sure we stay on a roll. A Dyno roll that is.
There are several activities that we are trying to make happen for this date. I can't promise which activity will actually happen, but what I have in the making could be something pretty big.
All I want to do for now is give everyone a heads up so that they can try to keep this date open.
Here's some of the things that I "might " be able to pull off.
1. Dyno Jim Meader's 4.9-liter stroked "black death" SC490. You read right, an SC490 with Tex headers, 4.9 liter bore and stroking, porting and polishing, cam work, Tundra crank, mandrel high-flow exhaust, and Dynomax mufflers, fuel ecu, etc. All that muscle combined with a PI Dragon TC, Torsen LSD, and BFI. You gotta see and HEAR this car ! CONFIRMED
2. Dyno ISV300's Twin Turbo Supra Motored IS300 ! Probably Not - SORRY GUYS
3. MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT / UPDATE
Bruce Nomura of Nomura Tuning & Design has confirmed that he will attend the meet. Bruce installed the Supra TT motor in ISV300's car shown in the picture below. He is a wealth of information and talking to him is sure to be a treat for anyone who wants to know MORE.
4. Dyno Shoot out of various aftermarket parts. CONFIRMED
Finally an "Independent Test" of some long debated performance parts.
K & N FIPK vs. Stock Intake -GS
20" Rims vs stock 17" rims - GS
PLP Intake vs. stock intake - IS
TM plugs vs stock iridiums - IS
Again, not meaning to tease you all but I am. I cannot, REPEAT cannot promise all or any of these things will happen, but we will be working on it over the next 3 weeks and will see what is do-able.
Everyone is welcome to dyno their cars at a great price of $50 for 3 pulls, which includes a BBQ lunch.
Secondly, even if you are not dynoing your car, there will be plenty of people just coming over to hang out. We will also work on other "after dyno" activites, probably dinner and possibly some special activity, TBD.
Here's what I need from everyone who is interested.
1. If you are thinking of dynoing your car and have not signed up so far, please respond here ASAP. Once we have enough cars signed up, we will not be able to allow any more vehicles. I will post the current entry list in the next day or two.
2. If you are just meeting up but not dynoing, we'd like you to respond as well since we may get the shop to allocate more BBQ food to serve everyone for a nominal charge.
3. If you are coming later in the day or staying towards 6pm, then we will probably go out to dinner near by.
One way or another , please respond to this post so we can get a head count.

Ryan and I have talked already, so there definitely could be some more good things to come for this meet.
I will post a list of those attending the meet and dynoing their cars in another day or two.
I'm seeing A LOT of people reading the posts today, including a lot from IS300.net, but no responses of attendance yet. Wussup with that? I know who you are and I am writing down names !

Just changed it to the lurker list.
Seriously, I am just making a formal note of the "known" locals who have gone to the NorCal section and read the announcements and not yet responded.
Everyone has to check their schedules and other commitments, so I'm not trying to rush anyone for an answer, but an eventual response would be appreciated.

I'll be there but I won't be dynoing ( since I don't have any power mods.... YET ). I'd definitely be interested to see what you guys are putting down on the rollers though. Thanks.
