Default Info on Chrome rims in Bay Area???

Just got a slick white RX 330 and new to the forum. I was wondering if anyone can tell me good place to pick up and install some chrome rims for a good price in the Bay Area. Dealers were charging me 2k and I think thats a lil' steep. Thanks for your help.

What brands and size of rims are you looking for?

Also which part of the bay area do you prefer?

I got 18 "s on now...... Can I go bigger to 20"s or is it wise to just stay at 18"s? I don't know if the RX330 can handle the bigger rims. I also don't know too much on brands so your recommendation is greatly appreciated. Somewhere in the Peninsula or close to it would be fine by me. Thanks for repying and hope to hear from u soon.

As far as going 20's, I'm not sure if there is a fitment that keeps the overall diameter within a reasonable size that is close to stock diameter. You can post questions in the tire/wheel forum as well as the RX forums. I'm sure there will be more response there.

As far as shops, I don't know of any wheel shops specific to the peninsula. I would go to the Tire Rack website as a starting point, though I don't think they offer 20's for your car. There might be a good reason for this, but again, post that Q on the other forums to verify.

The prices from The Tire Rack are competitive, so you will know if the local shops are giving you a deal.

Best place I know of is the Firestone on El Camino in San Mateo. Talk to Allen Hung, aka 'Moo' (his nick). He'll hook you up at 10% over cost. They've taken care of me for years. I've taken my RX-7 Twin Turbo there, BMW MZ3, the Z4, my Corvette Z06, etc...
