June 12 car show and races..who's down??
Wassup everyone....just wanted to let everyone know that June 12 there will be a Battle of the Imports event in Bakersfield. We do have a car show at every event, and I want to get the car show part of it to be alot bigger, so let me know if you're willing to come down for the show! There's a wide variety of classes plus the races, and of course, the bikini contest!!! It's gonna be hot, but it's worth it! Come out and display and help me represent the Lexus community! My car will be there, but since I judge it will be display only, so we gotta get some competition down there! We can caravan down and I can also get get hotel info, etc for anyone interested in staying the night. Feel free to check the web site for more info.

I'll speak on behalf of several of the "active" CL members. Basically, we are all burn't out with meets. We have had an average of 2 meets per month for 6 months and that's not to mention that we spend the rest of the time modding our cars and getting ready for these shows. I am just getting back up to speed today.
I think the AutoRnD is no sweat for this Sat, but driving down to B-Town is a lil more effort.
I am personally not planning any activities for the next 30+ days , especially because we lose a lot of participation from those in school and the coming month is finals.
We are planning a meet for mid-June.
This will be our "Beginning of Summer" meet.
Stay Tuned for an announcement soon.

Thanks for the explanation, that's really what I was looking for was reasons why folks DON'T want to attend. But, along with what you said, the show is in Mid June, so maybe the meet can happen at the same time?? Just an idea, I know it's a drive and all. Thanks for lettin' me bend some ears!
And to answer the question, no, it isn't a DUB show, it's Battle of the Imports, a drag race/car show event that travels throughout the country. Not as many "bling" cars, but races and stuff along side the show. Thanks for listening!

we are heavy into planning the June event. We already have a sight and activities planned, so it is not practical for us to change mid -stream.
This will probably be our 2nd biggest meet of the year. Only the End-of-Sumer meet in September will likely exceed this one.
Please be on the look out for an announcement soon.
