Anyone know where to do custom seats? I'm in Oakland.

What seats do you have, what custom work did you have done and what was the ballpark cost? I have heard about your setup but have not had a chance to see your car live.

 

i have the eletric recao sport seats which were rewrapped to match the factory leather. the seats are rather costly and even with my sponsorship. I believe retail for the seats is somewhere in the ballpark of 2200 per seat. the only problem is that you need to have custom seat brackets made inorder to mount the seats.

 

Do you know which model of recaro? There are several that look like they might be a good fit and nearly all upper models come in electric vs non-electric. Thanks.

 

the seats i have now most closely resemble the "topline" seats, however when i purchased mine, they did not have different variations of the sport seat.

 

are you referring to the "SPG"?

 

GSracerRY, do you have any pictures? Do the place that you refer just custom the orginal seats? Not the sport one, Recaro...... I just want to change my interior color.

 

they're just a speed shop but they might know a place that does it, the # is 916-648-8000. conversion technique in oakland has a better deal on recaro seats that's where i got mine, they have the actual seats to try out and seat.

 

Funny I just came back from Conversion Tech today. You can basically sit in every model of Recaro available there. They can also get Sparco and BBS.

This shop doesn't do much retail since they make their money as a distributor and race car prep service.

They will sell to the public though.

i should of got my RECARO SPG( less than 14lbs and extremely comfortable ) through you then one of the guys gave me a pretty good price w/ the rails and brackets and install. it's alot cheaper than motorsport dynamic.

Like I said, they don't really have a store front, since they are not retail focused. There is a show room with the seats and BBS wheels. Just ask someone where it is. They distribute Recaro, BBS, etc. to NorCal stores, so wherever you buy these products, it will likely have come from this location. Might as well go to the source.
